At a private school the focus is on teaching your child to think. There is no rote memorization. In fact the child is encouraged to think and understand the concept rather than learn it. The classes in a private school are relatively smaller you can expect your child to be the focus of the teachers. If there is a certain concept which the child does not understand the teacher is going to discover it pretty quickly. They would address the learning issue then and there and fix it on spot.
